The MAR group has already acquired many of the needed equipment and supplies used for the care and maintenance of the track. At the moment the VHT sprayer is being built to assure the track will be good and sticky. There is still the need for old slicks and they are asking for donations from the racing community. In return, the track officials have told Area Rides, they will acknowledge and reward tire donations by supplying passes or event specials. The construction aspect of the track is moving along smoothly. The excavation crew is ready and as soon as the legal mumbo jumbo is finished and signatures go down on the dotted line they will have the whole area graded and complete in ten days- ready to pour the track. Chain link fencing around the property is ready to go once the excavation is done. MAR Park's spectator area will have large covered bleachers with expansion plans in the following months. The designs for the tower and suites are being drawn up and the proposed plan could very well surpass Gateway's complex.

The big announcement is the final word on the timing system to be used at the track. The track will use the Compulink Timing System. Though there is not an abundance of information from the system's manufacturer, a quick search has found many tracks around the nation use it.
