The Martin name has been synonymous with drag racing in the St. Louis area for generations. Most all of Steve's family has in some way been invloved in hot rods and drag racing. Steve was destined to become a hot rodder.

Having owned, modified or raced over two hundred cars in his lifetime, he has trophies, plaques and photos covering the walls of his man cave. At the moment Steve owns three rat rods, a 1968 Camaro convertible, and two 50's Chevy dragsters. His current project is a 1956 gasser with a blown big block. He will also be working on the Area Rides project vehicle. His hobbies span from collecting die cast cars and building custom golf carts to hunting and fishing.

Steve Martin is an integral member of Area Rides as he is consistantly creating new promotional ideas and marketing concepts. He also allows us, on occasion, to convert his garage to a makeshift photo studio.
